The Knights of Columbus is leading a lay-led adoration and prayer service at St. Joseph's Chapel at 7:00. All are welcome
Second Saturday of the month
The Knights of Columbus will be leading the rosary at 3:30 in the church. The rosary will end before the 4:00 Mass.
Council Information
Our Council is located at 920 Trapelo Rd. Waltham, MA. Please contact us at olkofc@olca.org.
Our meetings for card-carrying members are held on the third Wednesday each month at 7:00 pm. They are normally held in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted School. Officer meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm. For additional information, please call 781-209-0842.
To be a Knight and help us to make a difference only requires about two hours a month per person.We are always looking for new members looking to make a difference and help us meet our goals. If you wish to join, see any Knight after Masses or email us at olkofc@olca.org, or call 781-209-0842 for information.
Our Council's Purpose
Our Council goals are to serve our Families, our Parish and our Community, any way we can. We are here to assist our Pastor whenever he asks. Recent services include a prayer hour, serving as greeters at Mass twice a month, and a fund-raiser Pasta Supper. Current plans include assisting in the FOCA post-card drive, having fund raisers for both the Parish and our Council, hosting prayer hours, organizing family gatherings for our Knights and their families. We also plan to hold fundraisers for community needs, such as our annual drive for the intellectually disadvantaged Children.
History of our Council
Our Council started on February 9th, 2009 with 34 charter members. The installation Mass for Officers was Feb. 23, 2009 at OLCA with Fr. James DiPerri, Chaplain, as chief celebrant. Our council started as a Roundtable connected with St. Francis of the Sacred Heart Council #14091, at Sacred Heart Church in Waltham in March 2007. At this time we were hoping to become a full council as soon as possible. On February 9, 2009 we reached the requirements to apply for our Council Charter. We are now “Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Knights of Columbus Council #14710.
